Today, 8th February 2005, Israeli and Palestinian prime ministers, Sharon and Abbas met for peace talks in Sharm el Sheik, a holiday resort on the coast of Red Sea, Egypt. The chart of the summit which witnessed by Egyptian and Jordanian presidents give us the current picture of conditions and probable future trends. Based on CNN Turk live broadcast, Abbas announced the end of the violance at 14:52 local time (12:52 GMT) and further Sharon’s statements came in at 15:00, within a few minutes. The talks ended at 15:06.
Based on the chart for 15:06, Cancer rising and balsamic Moon sandwiches Mercury/Neptune partile conjunction in 8th house Aquarius. The chart is quite telling and full of information.
Cancer rising (20 degrees which is also close to the Ascendant degree of Yassir Arafat) stands for the security of people and the region whereas Saturn close to the Ascendant degree clearly depicts the burdensome situation for both sided and seriousness of the subject. The case is further emphasized by mutual reception between Moon and Saturn, however they’re seen in aversion. Aversions like blood feuds brings long term persisting problems and not easy resolutions. In addition, the shadow of Arafat will also prevailing as his Asc degree is shown on the ascendant!
Decreasing light of the Moon does not signal a strong, well established beginning showing that there will be a struggle of difficult rebirthing. The Moon is 5 31 degrees behind the Sun in a fixed sign (Aquarius) , this may be interpreted that as an slow, and steady process, and fixed signs give years for degrees in succedent houses, then the year 2010 could be a important turning point in future. The year 2010 will also be the year when Jupiter and Saturn will be in opposition twice in 27 Virgo/Pisces and 2 Aries/Libra. This is very telling too as these axis degrees fall closely to the IC/MC degrees of League of Nations Decision chart which was held 25 April 1920 in San Remo, Italy.
Jupiter sits at 18th degrees of Libra (highligthing himself being in square to the Asc degree, Asc/MC=JUP/MC) and the Moon transfer the light from Jupiter to the Sun at 19th degrees of Aquarius. This is a very promising omen and shows the inspirations and the hopes of the both parts as opportunities will be arisen through diplomacy. However, this peace process may not be easily maintained due to 8th house prospects. Although the 8th house signifies transformation as we all know, transformation itself is something traumatic and full of dangers, full of hatred feelings and enmity.
I am not quite sure that an agreement reached under Mercury/Neptune conjunction can be seen as a solid step as Mercury/Neptune combination could signify actors, deceitful people and liars as sociological correspondences by Ebertin in his COSI. Neptune and Mercury both sit at the 0 degrees of Aries. A point of strong mundane manifestation.
We are currenlty living Saturn-Chiron and nodal axis cardinal grand square and these planets are shown themselves in the angular houses. This is the cross of security/vulnerabilities versus responsibilities/structures and initiatives/right to live and diplomacy/cooperation. That grand cross clearly explains that both sides (and whole humanity as well) will be challenged by cross purpose in all these issues amid of insecurity. It’s quite interesting that, an arabic part, pars hyleg which shows the root of thing, falls on 28 53 Capricorn just on the corner of this grand cross and conjuncts with Chiron, which explain “being wounded”. The part of things to come (pars futurorum) is at 25 37 Cancer, just in square to the nodal axis strongly suggests that peace outcome will only be achieved by conscious effort and through many challenges. The part of religion which is at 21 12 Cancer fully shows that the real obstacle lays in the religious issues as this point conjunct with Saturn (Again Saturn/Moon aversion, enmity and blood feud!) Moon herself is also sits on a crucial arabic part, (12 33 Aquarius) Part of inheritances, Pars hearidatum vel possesinanum) Hence we can easily see the feud due to holy land deadlock.
Based on Bernadette Brady’s texts, in paran analysis of the chart, Saturn is in paran with Procyon, this star is related with only short term gains and Saturn/Procyon paran is expressed as “a short term policy, or leader comes to the fore” (Mahmud Abbas ?) The Sun also is in paran with Zuben Elschemali, “leaders come under observartion, leaders are empowered”
We have seen ten ceasefires in the past so far and how this could differ and potentially what’s the future in this chart ? Doubtless to say, this is not a chart of new beginning but a chart for closing an era (a chart before new moon) The Moon is disposed by Saturn ( is bound by religious issues) and Mars align with Moon/Sun, Mars/Uranus, Pluto/MC midpoints and Mars is in the 12th house of the 7th house (House of agreements and Peace talks) and Mars is also the almuten of the 7th house! Such a hideous and exalted Mars in Capricorn will certainly have the potential to hinder and harm the current hopes described by Jupiter trining to the luminaries.
As Mars is the almuten of the 7th house and in the 12th house in relation to the 7th house and Saturn is the ruler of the 7th, being in detriment, retro and in opposition to the 7th house, We could only hope that malefics would not harm our hopes and for more secure world. The 4th house as the end of the matter holds the sign of Libra, confirms this, however Jupiter in via combusta there, and ruler Venus having only face dignity in the 7th, and almuten Saturn in detriment
indicates that peace is quite fragile.
