Some notes on the conditions concerning Israel in 2024

The technique of ensembling solar return charts and the profections for a given period is a method that I rely on to understand the conditions of a specific period. I also teach this approach to my students.

Here, I will attempt to look at the themes for the year 2024-25 briefly through the Israel's natal chart (May 14, 1948, 4:00 PM, Tel Aviv). Here also, I am going to examine briefly the indicators of the period when the war began on October 7. 2023.

Israel had the 4th House Capricorn yearly profection last year (2023-24) (now nearing completion). We might assume this to be evident, as Israel also has its part of Fortune in this place. However, Saturn, the lord of the year, together with Mars (completely out of sect in the diurnal chart), paints a very challenging outlook in the 11th House, damaging hopes and positive expectations particularly associated with this house.

This year, (2024-25) we also see Saturn continuing as the lord of the year. (Saturn transiting in the 6th House/Pisces) Within the annual theme, the Aquarius profection of the 5th House opposes Mars and Saturn. The opposition of these malefics, despite Saturn being a diurnal planet, brings many things more into a more difficult and complicated scene, especially given its natal capacity in Leo. While Saturn might not be entirely weak, as it stands in its term dignity, however it’s in his detriment in square aspect with lunar nodes indicates rather persistent, chronic, and potentially stern and unhappy circumstances.



This year, sensitivities and challenges regarding neighbouring and bordering countries continue  (Moon, Mars, and Saturn profected into the 3rd House), while the Sun moves to the 12th House (directionlessness, uncertainty), the MC to the 2nd House (resources, economy), and the part of Fortune to the 8th House (crises, conditions involving fear and death, plundering). This situation indicates an intensification of conditions, particularly emphasizing that issues related to neighbours could be even more exhausting.

On the other hand, in the solar return chart, we find Pisces rising, which is in the 6th House (armies) in the natal chart. Thus, with Pisces rising, we can also note a stellium in Taurus in the 3rd House, which describes again neighbours and vicinity, with the ruler of the ascendant, Jupiter, placed along with the Sun and Uranus in this particular house. The lord of the year, Saturn, is in Pisces rising, in harmony with Venus. These conditions could indicate new and energizing opportunities and changes concerning neighbours. Although Saturn may not be an ideal place in the rising sign, it can at least serve as a responsibility and anchor.

We observe the Moon in Leo (also on the natal Moon) in the 6th House, in its crescent phase, in a weakening and exhausting house, opposed by Pluto and forming a trine to Mars. We must say that the conditions for the people are not easy. The lord of the year, Saturn, in Pisces and on the ascendant indicates issues of victimization, helplessness, problems involving religious and moral reasons, restrictions, and burdens in the conditions of the people. Saturn seems also  to be in aversion relative to its position.

Additionally, let's not forget that the annual profection falls into the 12th House of the solar return chart.

In addition to all this, we can say that the planet of war Mars is in Aries, along with the North Node, in the 2nd House in the SR chart, indicating both military resources and their excessive usage, demonstrating the strength of the support Israel has.

Let's look at the conditions for this period and the next 3 months. (By the way, I must mention that Mars also stands out as the long-term time lord, from September 2022 to February 2027, given its term dignity in Sagittarius.)

As far as we understand, between May 14 and June 14, opportunities related to neighboring countries, taking responsibilities, and at the same time, significant burdens and limitations on the military and the state can be said, as this almost spreads across the entire year.

Between June 14 and July 14, military issues, involving the army and neighbours, remain prominent, while crises and obstacles continue to be noticeable. The monthly ruler Jupiter brings more focus on discussions, communication, hopes for the future, international situations, land, and security issues.

The period between July 14 and August 14 is quite remarkable. The monthly lord Mars makes many conditions even more heated, risky, and controversial. Mars is prominent in the solar return chart, also being the ruler of the 9th House. In transit, it appears in Taurus during this period, in the 8th House in the natal chart, and in the 3rd House (neigbours) in the yearly chart. Therefore, we can assume how intense and destructive the summer months could be.
